Avery Grey: The Hydesmouth Incident
A downloadable game for Windows
October, 1931 — Boston, Massachusetts
Being Avery Grey, a relatively successful private eye in Boston, receiving a letter from a man like Harmon Attersley didn’t come as much of a surprise.
He’d worked cases for local big-wigs like Mr. Attersley before. This one looked standard enough: a missing persons gig. Harmon’s son John, who worked the shipping ports of Hydesmouth, had vanished along with his wife and two daughters. Nearly a week with no sign, and the local police had been rather lax. Even Harmon’s influence hadn’t moved the search.
The job seemed straightforward. The sizable stack of dough included as a retainer was enough to send Avery toward Hydesmouth - first stop, the son’s home on the outskirts of town. The surprises would come much later…
